THERE ARE WORSE THINGS THAN BEING DEAD
THERE IS BEING ALIVE, AND HUNTED BY JIM GRANT
“My mission is to combat international crime.”
Zapata said, “Do they have international crime in Yorkshire?”
Jim Grant smiled. “I’m not in Yorkshire.”
When a car alarm goes off in a quiet Spanish street, Jim Grant is jumped by four men tasked with protecting their boss’s Bentley Continental GT. But Manuel Golandrinas is interested in more than who set the alarm off. The Golandrinas Cartel sells drugs throughout the inland towns and villages of Southern Spain. One of the cartels that was laundering money through the Laguna Park holiday resort when Benjamin J Green eloped with a runaway bride; the daughter of another drug cartel boss in Mexico.
Why should any of that interest a Yorkshire cop, working in America? Because Grant has been sent to look into the mysterious disappearance of a Yorkshire thief, believed killed when his boat exploded in Italy. Missing presumed dead? Not presumed dead by the cartels Ben Green fleeced. Or the father whose daughter he eloped with. It seems that the bride and the money aren’t the only things that Green stole. And setting off the car alarm is the least of Grant’s problems.
